Section – 28. Night shifts.
Where a worker in an establishment works on a shift extending beyond midnight,—
(a) for the purposes of section 26, a weekly holiday for a whole day shall mean a period of twenty-four consecutive hours beginning from the time his shift ends;
(b) the next day for such worker shall be considered as the period of twenty-four hours starting from the end of his shift, and any hours worked after midnight shall be counted as part of the previous day.
