Section – 46. Appointment of designated authority
The appropriate Government may, by order, appoint such persons, being Gazetted officers of the Government, as it deems fit to act as the authority under sub-section (1) of section 119. It shall also specify their jurisdiction and confer upon them such powers and duties, including those related to the electronic issuance and revocation of licences, as may be specified in the order.
